My 11 week old cant get to sleep on his own

Hi

Im on my own during the week and desperate to have some structure but for some reason i just don't know where to begin for several reasons.

Firstly Im breastfeeding am trying to stick to the 3 hourly routine and cluster feed in the evenings. This is not going so bad. However, night times are a bit a of an issue because of two reasons. Aaran will go to sleep between 9 and 10pm and then can sleep from anything between 2 and and 5 hours. at a time. It is hugely erratic and every day is different. So Im feeding him at various times in the night. This then means I have him waking up at different times in the morning and which then impacts the rest of the day...again.

Secondly, he cant get to sleep on his own even if he is very tired (which he displays by rubbing his eyes and yawning, so I am sure he needs to go back to sleep). It takes me a long time to get him to bed which I have to do by swaddling. He is very fidgety all the time, even when he feeds sometimes so swaddling is the only way i can get him to calm down. He seems to fight this as well and then I have to walk around with him in my arms patting his back and ryhthmically saying sshh...ssshh..sshh. This process can take up to an hour by and very draining day and night.

Im also thinking I want to mix feed but am not sure what time of day is best to implement this.

If Aaran could get to sleep on his own, I wouldn't feel so frustrated.

I dont know where to begin or how...is it getting Aaran to sleep on his own, starting a routine or mixed feeding?

Please help.
