9 month old frequently waking up crying at night
Hi since our little one was born he's always been a rubbish sleeper not helped by the fact he has reflux and would wake every 1.5 hours on the dot to feed. He's had a good day time routine and bed time routine since about 4 weeks old but constantly wakes up in the night crying. He has been worse since a cold in December and is now taking up to 2 hours (worst night 4) to get him back to sleep usually by rubbing his back which i stopped and tried controlled crying last nite as i think the back rubbing/patting is becoming/become a prop. He woke at 8.40 pm i left him to cry for 5 mins then went in and tucked him back in stroked his head and said good night kissing him on the cheek then left the room. I went in again after another 5 mins crying did the same thing and he went to sleep after that. He then woke every 2hours! for the rest of the night. I once went in to him and twice he fell back to sleep himself then i went in once at 4 am. He stirred 6ish but went back to sleep till 7.30.(usually we get up at 7am). Usually bed time is 7pmish with bath, massage, bottle, cuddle then to bed where he settle himself to sleep. As does he during the day. I just can't understand why he continues to wake up crying several times a night, please help?
