Topic: 8 months old waking early

8 months old waking early

Hi, First of all I wanted to say thank you for your support so far, Lia now goes to bed between 7-7.30pm, awake in her cot and asleep in minutes without making a sound. So that's great result. Her daytimes naps are still a hit and miss. Sometimes she sleeps long enough and settles easily, sometimes it's a bit of a struggle followed by a very short nap but I hope this will improve with time.

However now we have the problem of early waking. Sometimes she wakes at night but goes back to sleep by herself, we don't have to go in. In the morning though she is up anytime between 4 and 5am, which is just way too early. Tried to leave her until 6am but it is very hard when she wakes at 4 and starts crying. I never give her morning bottle before 7am and she is fine with that, so she doesn't wake because of hunger. When she wakes and starts crying I always try to leave her, this morning for example I left her for at least 30mins but she wouldn't settle. When I go in she is wide awake and gets even more upset when she sees me until I pick her up from her cot.
Any advice would be great to tackle the issue early :)
Thanks, Zsanett
