First night of cc with 19 week old :(
It's my first night of cc with my 19 week old son. He was breast fed to sleep and slept in my bed. Tonight he has gone in the cot in his own room for the first time and was put down awake. I know it's only night one but I don't feel it's going very well and I'm worried I've done too much all at once ie new bed, new room, no prop :(
I chose to do cc as I did it with my 4 year old son when he was 6 months old and by night 3 he was sleeping through. So I felt confident (ish) tonight and was hoping for an hour of crying then sleep until at least 5 or 6am. I know all babies are different but I'm worried I've done the wrong thing. My 19 week old cried for an hour tonight then fell asleep but woke after only 30mins and cried for another 30mins before falling asleep again but he just woke AGAIN after another 30 mins, the last time he woke we didn't get chance to do any checks tho and he is asleep again now.
I feel awful, I just want to take him back into my bed and attempt cc again when he is 6 months. Is he too young at 19 weeks? Did I do the wrong thing by doing too many new things at once?
I'm also not sure if I should feed in the night. I didn't have to with my previous baby as he was 6 months. I don't want to give mixed messages by picking him out and feeding him if he is just waking for his prop but I don't want him to be hungry.
During the day he has 4 breast feeds and 2 small meals. He is a very sicky baby and brings up quite a lot.
Sorry for long post, I hope I've made sense! I'm not quite with it tonight!!
Please help. I'm a very tired stressed out Mummy :(
