Hi there
My name is Rachael and I have a beautiful daughter called Grace who will turn 6 months this weekend.
I will give you an overview of the past 6 months .... she was breastfed for 1 month and got used to falling asleep on me, was a very hungry baba so was waking less than every 2 hours during the night. Once I switched to bottles, at around 8 weeks she started to sleep a lot better during the night. I gave her a dreamfeed around 11 and she would wake between 4&5am but would go back off with her dummy. This continued but the wakings started to get earlier. As time has gone by she now wakes hourly :-(, most of the time doesn't go asleep til gone 9pm. She goes off with her dummy but if I am not quick enough she will wake properly and think it is playtime. I moved her into her own room last week thinking we were disturbing her but she got worse and most of the time she ends up in bed with me but I make sure she goes back in her cot at some point so that she wakes up there so she is used to it. She eats breakfast & lunch and has 4*7/8oz per day. I have now dropped the dreamfeed.The only routine is her feeding, she is always up between 7-7.30am. She fights sleep until the end and her naps are only half an hour long 3 times a day, however, on the rare occasion where she has had a good 90 min nap in the afternoon it does not seem to have an effect on her night time sleep. She has to be rocked to sleep or pushed in her pram for daytime.

I am prepared to do CC and to maybe ditch the dummy.

My little girl is extremely hyperactive but I am hoping this system will help her to get her to have a decent sleep for the sake of the whole family, my husband sleeps on the couch.

I thought it was a lovely read compared to others I have read. I had Grace babysat overnight last night so that I had a good night sleep so that I could start today nice and fresh :-).

Sorry for the big ramble. Hope somebody can help us.
