Is this a phase? Rolling over/teething problems?!
Hello!
We have made steady progress with our little girl so that by Christmas she was napping twice a day in her cot and sleeping through most nights (from 7pm til about 6am) without getting us up. We even went away to grandparents over Christmas and she was good as gold! However, although she has been able to roll over (back to front) since 4 months it has only just proved a problem at night time. Until now rolled up towels and then rolled up yoga mats(!!) have worked fine at stopping this but last week she was rolling over inspite of these. I don't have a problem with her sleeping on her tummy but she does and screams hysterically! I have used CC in the past before this was an issue and I am happy to leave her to cry but I can't do this if I know she is in real distress on her tummy. To solve this I found a product for babies with reflux which wraps over the top of their sleeping bag and keeps baby on their back. This has solved the problem of her rolling over but now I think when she comes into a light sleep in the night she feels driven to roll and can't (even though she hates it onces she's there!!). As a result she begins to wake herself up trying to roll. I am able to creep into her room when she does this and turn on her music and the majority of times this is all I do and she'll go back to sleep.
It is a nightmare though as I still have to get up to do this!
At 7 months she still has no teeth but I suspect they are on thier way. I am not convinced that this problem should be blamed on teething though.
I should mention A is on 3 solid meals a day and 3-4 bottles. She has dropped her dream feed (pursed her lips when I tried!) and does not feed in the night.
Our son slept through at 12 weeks and never looked back so I'm not sure if I have high expectations of Annabelle? I am fed up of broken sleep but not really sure if there is anything I can do? Sorry for the rant!
