Worried that we're falling into bad habits

I feel like we're losing control of my son's sleeping!

Thomas falls asleep on his own at night (and for naps) and we've had a period of waking once in the night or sleeping through. From around 18 weeks, things changed - developmental milestones, increasing feeds pre-weaning etc and after 2 weeks where he was up practically all night we have settled back down to 2 night feeds at 23 weeks. He started on solids 2 weeks ago and has 2 meals a day, soon to be 3. Night wakings have become clockwork for the last 10 days - bang on midnight and then sometime between 3am-4am without fail. He feeds quite enthusiastically at both so I don't doubt he is not hungry, but its so regular that I'm worried he's waking out of habit. I leave him a few minutes and he starts shouting and you can tell he's not going to go back to sleep. He goes back in his bed semi-drowsy so he is not fed to sleep, but it seems that once he has woken up he expects feeding if that makes sense. He is only awake 30 mins each time so maybe things will change when he is fully weaned however, I'm worried that he's falling into bad habits that will be harder to change later.

Nap times are also an issue. He will happily fall asleep by himself in minutes but we cannot for the life of us get him to sleep more than 40 minutes per nap but it is clear he needs to sleep more. We've tried wake to sleep, leaving him, PUPD - all with no success. I can't help thinking everything is linked - when he wakes from a nap he is wide awake but crying and clearly needs to go back to sleep but just won't. Ideally I'd like to get him having 2 naps per day - 90 mins at 10.30am and then another 90 mins nap at 3.30pm - is this achievable?

His current routine:
Wake 7am, feed, goes back to sleep
9am - up
10am - feed
11am - nap
Up by 12 noon at latest
12.30pm - feed and solid lunch
2pm - nap
Up by 3pm at latest
Feed
5pm - short nap
6pm - solid dinner
7pm - bath
7.30pm - feed and bed

Thanks for your help
