Topic: 8 week old and night sleeping/feeding

8 week old and night sleeping/feeding

Hi - we have an 8 week old baby (Leo) & am doing the EASY routine which is mostly going quite well & he is sleeping in his cot quite well for the full nap most of the time. He's not breastfeeding very well so am pumping & bottle feeding mostly. Routine is roughly feeding every 3 hours, awake for 1-1.5 hours, then nap for 1.5 hours:
6.30/7am: 4-5oz formula
10am: 4-5oz breastmilk
1pm: 4-5oz breastmilk
4pm: 4-5oz breastmilk
5.45pm: bathtime routine starts
6.30pm: 4-5oz formula then straight to bed
11pm: 4-5oz breastmilk
Night feed: 4-5oz formula

The question I have is that Leo can sleep well from 6.30pm-11pm (& we left him last night to see how long he goes and he woke at midnight... so we know he can sleep almost 6 hours in the early evening). But then after the dreamfeed he seems to wake every 2-3 hours. His night feed is anytime between 1.30-3am (normally 2am) and then he tends to wake at about 5-5.30am crying like he's hungry (the coughing cry). We put a dummy in his mouth (the only time we use a dummy) which stretches him out a bit and then he sleeps on my husbands chest and we manage to stretch him out until 6.30/7am and feed him then but it means for quite a disruptive night between the dreamfeed and morning. It's frustrating as I know he can sleep 6 hours before the dreamfeed! Wish he would sleep the long stretch after the dreamfeed! Is there anything we are doing wrong re feeding or should be doing to help Leo sleep for longer after midnight? Should I just feed him at 5am when he wakes and put him back to bed and feed him at 7am or is stretching him out the right thing to do?
Thank you!!
