Can't take baby out as gets over tired!

Hi there

My son is sleeping through the night and has been doing so for some time. I've only introduced a "fixed'' routine a week ago (starting the day at 7:00 and to bed at 19:00, in order to try and establish a day time napping routine)

The issue that I have is that he is very sensitive and gets over tired easily and then it is a nightmare to settle him. He has to go to his cot an hour and a half after waking up to be exact. When I try to take him out and I am 5 minutes late for the nap (he seldom falls asleep in the pram or car seat) he gets over tired.

I literally feel like a prisoner at the moment, today he woke up at 06:45, had an hour nap after being awake for an hour and a half. I rushed to get him out of the house for some fresh air and he started yarning after 45 minutes. By the time I got home, it was to late! I struggled the rest of the day. He only managed to sleep a total of 3 hours today, one 1 hour and 2 half an hour naps. On a good day he usually has 5 naps, between half an hour and two hours long.

I am trying to implement specific times for naps but this is very hard as it all depends what time he wakes up from each nap - as he will be tired almost exactly an hour and a half from waking up.

This makes going out very hard, as soon as he wakes up from a nap, I rush to get his jacket on etc. By the time we reach our destination, it is time for him to nap again.

I've been having this issue for the last month, before that he just used to nap when and where ever.

Help! :)
