 Hi, just thought i'd update you on some postivie progress and thankyou for your continued help... Jacob has managed to sleep until 6.10/6.15am the past 2 mornings and I'm a very happy mummy! Hopefully it will continue. I'm leaving him in his cot until 6.30am as he wakes up happy. Last night he went to bed at 6.40pm and slept unti 6.10am this am...11.5hrs...great! I'm still offereing him his porridge which he takes quite happily but looks for his milk pretty much straight after. So this am he had his porridge at 6.30am and milk at 6.45am. Shall I continue to offer him his porridge first?? If he begins to wake any later then 6.15am should I still continue with offering the porridge first?? I'm hoping that by doing this he won't return to 5.30am wakings.
His first nap this am was at 8.45am, I wanted to push him to 9am but he was getting very grumpy. He's still asleep at present..10.05am. Would you still recommend I only let him have an hour or is it ok in your opinion to let him sleep now he's waking a bit later?? I'm never quite sure what to do. Yesterday I had to wake him after 1 hour as we were going out. He then had 20mins over lunch and woke up screaming (this is very strange for him), managed to get him back to sleep after some coaxing and he slept for another hour, waking up at 2.45pm. Because wake up time from his luch nap was late we couldn't 'fit in' another nap before bed so I had to bring bedtime forward as he was so tired. He really needs to be in bed 2.5-3hrs since his last nap. I've been wondering if these longer sleeps in the morning may mean he could do 2 longer naps in the day. Fitting in 3 seems to be tricky at times. Any suggestions?? Thanks again, Emmax. p.s he's just woken now so he has had 1.5hrs. Do you think he's still making up for lost sleep?? Seems unlikely to me when he had 11.5hrs overnight?
