Hi there, I used the forum with my little girl at 5 months and after a private consultation with Wendy she went from waking several times a night to sleeping right through. Thankyou Wendy!
Now back for some help with baby number 2. He is exclusively bf roughly 3hourly and gaining weight well. He is asleep by 7-7.30 every evening after bath, pjs, bf and I'm then using pupd to try and get him down awake. However he is then only sleeping for 3-3.5hrs max before he wakes up and then wakes another 2-4 times after that before morning. I had got into the habit of bringing him in bed at 5-6am after he fed but have now not done that for 3 nights. Instead have started the day at 5.50am the last 3 mornings as he woke up then and I didn't want to attempt resettling as knew it would be hard work at that time and didn't want to wake my little girl.
Last night only fed at 10.15pm and 2am in the night as trying to stick to roughly 4hourly. Resettled at 12.30 with pupd which was fairly quick and then again at 4am which was hard work and probably took best part of an hour. i felt like giving up!
We're following his cues for naps during the day, but keeping him awake for a while after feeds and then settling in pram with pupd or rocked off. Also has the odd sleep in the car. Using a dummy for settling during cranky times and the odd nap too, but not at night.
Generally, I feel like he's getting plenty of sleep and is quite settled but I'm struggling with the night waking and feel like I've been doing lots of the right things but not getting anywhere. We've had several 4-5.5hr stretches out of him but just none in the last week. We took him out of his swaddle about a week ago as felt he was wriggling out of it. Now in sleeping bag in crib. Considering going back to swaddling.
Just wondering how long it should take for us to see some improvement? Any help would be appreciated!

Yippee!!Well we had a very different night last night! J slept through 7-6. I decided to try him without the 11pm DF and he obviously didn't need it. Hoping for more of the same tonight.
